Betsy Hohlfelder is the Staff Accountant for the United Methodist Foundation of Western Pennsylvania. Her responsibilities include the calculation of all distributions from the investment accounts, the preparation of financial statements, and the coordination and preparation of the Foundation’s operating budget.
Betsy holds an accounting degree from The Pennsylvania State University.
Before coming to the Foundation, Betsy worked as an Administrative and Audit Manager for Deloitte & Touche. She has served as treasurer for a number of non-profit organizations including Big Brothers & Big Sisters of Greater Pittsburgh, Bower Hill Community Church, Mt. Lebanon PTA Council, and South Hills Interfaith Ministries (SHIM) for which she currently serves as a Board member.
Betsy continues to be actively involved with other members of her church in the provision of solar-powered water purification systems in Haiti, where they will be installing the seventh such system in 2016.
Betsy and her husband Alan, residents of the South Hills of Pittsburgh, have two grown children.
